This application is designed to assist users in analyzing their weightlifting form by providing visual feedback on the barbell’s movement trajectory. It allows users to review the path of their lift through recorded videos.
To ensure optimal functionality, video recordings should be between 2 to 10 seconds in length. Users can create appropriately trimmed videos using the Photo editor on their iPhone or iPad. If capturing a bar path video proves challenging, please contact our support team via the designated support page.
Users also have the option to upload their bar path videos to YouTube or other social media platforms for sharing or review purposes.
- Barbell Tracking Using Video in Photo Book (version 6.0):
- Navigate to [Bar Path] mode.
- Select a video from your photo library. To change the selected video, press the [Movie] button and choose a different file.
- Adjust the red cursor to align with a 45cm plate by dragging and zooming as needed.
- Press the [Set] button to confirm.
- If the 'Style' setting is set to 'Vanishing' (default), only the last 2.5 seconds of the bar path will be displayed; otherwise, 'Keeping' shows the full trajectory.
- Press [Make] to initiate tracking; during this process, the app will analyze the video and generate a visual representation of the bar path. This, along with a screenshot, will be saved in your Photo Book (available in the paid version).
- Adjust parameters within the 'Input' view for different lifting conditions:
- Initial height of the bar [cm]: default is 22.5cm, representing lift from the floor; set this value accordingly if lifting from a box or rack.
- Grid offset for X direction [cm]: default is 0cm; modify if lifting from a rack to align measurements properly.
Recommended recording guidelines include:
- Ensuring adequate lighting conditions for clear video capture.
- Wearing clothing that contrasts with weight plates to improve tracking accuracy.
